Some News

Hello!  I have been one busy girl, I thought summer time was suppose to be relaxing and fun!  Mine has been fun but busy, LOL:)  I wanted to say Thank you to everyone who voted for me in the Gallery Idol Competition.  I had a blast and made some really fabulous friends!  I have some news to share today, I am part of Dr. Phil Scraps Design Team for the next 6 months and I am thrilled!  I recently discovered Close to My Heart stamps and I absolutely love them so being able to create with some CTMH products is going to be a treat:)

PS SPARKS Challenge- Cool Shades!

 

It's time for another Cool Shades Challenge!!  The colors for the this week are Yellow, Baby Blue, Teal and Light Green.  Here is  my card:)

I used the Needle Little Love stamp set.  I stamped the stitched row image alternating between the four colors to make a panel strip for my card base then I heat embossed the leaves and flowers and fussy cut them and added them to the bottom of the strip.  Sweet and Simple, I just love how it turned out:)  I really hope you will play along this week I would love to see what you make with this color combo.  Head on over to the PS SPARKS BLOG to play along and make sure you check out what the rest of the team has made with this color combo.

Gallery Idol Round 3!!

I made it to the top 15!!!  I am still smiling ear to ear and incredibly happy to have made it this far:)  So the theme for this round is to "make your own stamped background"!  Here is my entry.

 



 

I lined up all of the small icons in the GEOTAGGED stamp set from Mama Elephant on my stamp press and stamped each row alternating the start point.  The tag die and and sentiment are from PTI.  So I NEED YOUR HELP to make it the next round please go to the contest page and vote!!

Clearly Besotted Challenge

Good Morning!!  I am anxiously awaiting this morning for voting for Gallery Idol to go live:)  This has been such an amazing experience for me!  So while waiting this morning I came across this challenge.  I recently purchased my first stamp set from them and I just love it so here is the card I am entering into this challenge.

 

I fell in love with stamp set when I first saw it:)  I stamped the background image for this feather in a peach ink and then heat embossed the feathers in gold.  I highly recommend Clearly Besotted Stamps and I hear they are now for sale at Simon Says Stamp.   I will be back later today to share my card for Gallery Idol so please come back and if you like it VOTE:)!!

Gallery Idol Top 20!!!

I am so excited that I made the Gallery Idol Top 20!!  I am competing with some super talented and sweet ladies and I feel so honored to be among them.  So for the second round of this competition the theme is Defining Dad!  Here is my card.

 

I took my inspiration from both my Father and my Husband, they both LOVE their ipads!  The card itself was pretty simple to make but for some reason took me forever:)  I cut a panel of black cardstock and used my crop-a-dile to punch a hole out of the top and backed that with vellum then another circle of  black cardstock to create the camera you find at the top of an ipad.  I took a standard card base and adhered the black cardstock panel to it and then rounded all the corners.  I cut a white panel to represent the screen and stamped the sentiment at the bottom and adhered it to the card.  I stamped and heat embossed a square on a piece of black cardstock and punched it out with a small circle punch to create the Home button on the ipad.  Then came apps!!  I didn't want to cover it with apps but I did want a few important ones so I chose the message app and the date app (using Fathers Day as the date).  The apps were easy to make I just cut a few 1" squares and rounded the corners.  I cut a mini talk bubble using my Silhouette and stamped the number 1 and punched it out using a small hole punch.  I really love this card and plan on actually sending it to my father this year!  Thanks so much for stopping by and please go VOTE HERE!!  I need your help to make it to the next round!:)

PS SPARKS Trend Watch Challenge

 

 

I am so excited to be part of the PS SPARKS DT!!  Still having a hard time believing it:)  This weeks Trend Watch is Gold and this is a trend that I am loving!!

 I used the Potpourri and Sentiment Sampler set for my card.  I stamped the diamond pattern image across the card using versamark ink and then heat embossed it using Ranger sticky powder and added glitter.  I just love all the shimmer:) I hope you play along this week.  Make sure you head over to the PS SPARKS Blog and see what the rest of the DT has to inspire you!
