Exciting News!

Good Afternoon!!  I am spending a nice day at home with my kids, who have no school today due to the Hurricane.  Fortunately for us we live in Northern Louisiana so what we are getting is not too bad.  This is a first for me and I will admit I was a bit nervous because I hate the Tornado warnings that you get around here and I had heard that you get a lot of those when you have hurricanes!  I would much rather be enjoying a snow day in New England than this!!  Oh how I miss Massachusetts! I do have some news to share with you today, I was one of  the selected designers to join the PSA Essentials design team this year! You can read all about it and get to know all the designers here and here!  I am really excited to be a part of this amazing team!  Thank you so much PSA Essentials for the opportunity!

It's been a while....

It has been a while since I have posted to this blog of mine!  We have had a very busy last few month in our family.  This summer we took a road trip family vacation!  We drove to Utah and Idaho to visit my family and made quite a few stops along the way.  We went to the Four Corner, Moab and Arches National Park. Here is our bunch at the Four Corners.

It has been 7 years since we had been back to see my family and so my kids got to meet some cousins for the first time which was really exciting.  On our last day in Idaho my daughter managed to swallow a quarter while swimming in the pool which resulted in a trip to the ER!  She now has photos of the X-ray to remember the experience by:)  We had a great time seeing family and it was a much needed vacation!  My mom absolutely loves Pinterest, she saw a sign on Pinterest and decided to make one for herself and put it in the pantry, LOL, I think maybe I need to make one for myself also.

My kids went back to school on Aug. 9th!  This year I have and 8th grader, a 6th grader and a 3rd grader.  Where does the time go?

My oldest is also playing football this year for the first time ever!!  I am so excited about this!

My husband will be putting on a stripe this year and last week we got all dressed up and attended his SNCO Induction Ceremony.  I am so proud of him!

And lastly I turned 35 on Saturday.  I am looking forward to a great year:)
