Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!

It is the 25th of the month and I am ready for my 2nd blog hop with PTI! This months theme was any project inspired by any aspect of fall. I chose to make a card. The paper is PTI kraft and ripe avocado. I sewed the ripe avocado to the craft. The ribbon is just some I had laying around. The leaf is from a cuttlebug die and emboss combo. I inked the leaf to give it the different colors of fall. Last but not least the I used a stamp from Fancy Flourishes and embossed it with Queens Gold by Ranger. This card was super simple to make and I think it turned out great! (Although it looks better in the flesh, I need to learn how to take better photos) Thanks for looking!

Retirement card

This is a card I made for a guy my husband works with. He is retiring from the Air Force next week. I used the stand and salute cart. The sentiment is from PTI's Mega mixed messages stamp set.

My first layout post!

This is my first layout post! I have been scrapbooking for about 10 years now and after I had my youngest son I took a 5 year break from scrapbooking. So I guess I really have only been scrapbooking for 5 years. 10 years ago they did not have all of the great supplies they do today, so I have been having fun rediscovering scrapbooking and I have also been having fun learning card making and other paper crafts with stamps and my new cricut! I found an old picture taken of my husband and I when we were dating 14 years ago (I was only 18) and made a page with it! I used A child's year for the silhouette cut and Calligraphy for the font. I stickled the flowers the little boy and girl are holding. The background flourishes are from a Papertrey Ink stamp set and I used some gemstones as an accent. I would love to hear your comments! Thanks for looking.

PeachyKeen challenge 7

Okay so this week the challenge on the Peachykeen blog was to have your card include the color purple, a pumpkin and a zigzag! This was a fun one, the pumplkin and fence cuts are from PPDU. The cute hat the pumpkin is wearing is a peachykeen stamp I just received! I colored the stamp with copic markers (first time using them) and I used a gel pen on the stars and hat belt. Thanks for looking and I always love to hear your comments!
