September 2010 Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!

HEllo! This month the challenge was your "favorite learned skill". Heather Nichols did a post in August titled "Letterpress + Papertrey" Here is the link: http://pinefeather.typepad.com/pine_is_here/2010/08/letterpress-papertrey.html. I loved the idea of using the impression plates with ink! That is the technique or skill that I used in my card today. I used the linen and canvas impression plate for mine. As you can see I got some of the ink down below the grooves on the plate in some areas and I love the end result, so rustic looking!! My grandmother loves cows and it happens to be her Birthday in a couple of weeks so this card is going to her. The cow die cut came from a new toy I got this week, The cricut Imagine. I love my new toy!! Thanks for hopping by and have a great day!!

Moxie Fab: Teusday Trigger

I loved the inspiration photo for this one! I decided I wanted some big shiny lips on my card! I cut the lips with my cricut and then I used UTEE and embossed them to give them a super shiny finish. The sentiment stamp is from PTI. If you would like to be inspired here is the link http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2010/09/tuesday-trigger-lipsylicious.html. Thanks for stopping and have a great day!

UPDATE!! My card was picked for one of the Tuesday triggers!! I am so happy and honored!!

Autumn Greetings

Just a quick card that I made for a weekend challenge. The leaf border is from Gypsy wanderings and the paper is from the DCWV Indian summer stack.

Some thing I have done recently

So ever since I learned of The Paper Crafts magazine call for submissions I have made it a goal of mine to get published. I am not a great card maker yet, but I am a work in progress. I have been making cards for a little over a year now and I still have not found my go to style, but I am having fun and to me that is what counts. So I have not had any of my submissions excepted yet but I will keep trying. Here are a few of my favorites so far that were not picked up.
