With Love

Hello!  I am popping in today to share a fun card with you.  Our family recently got a new puppy that we named Simba.  He is the cutest little Pomeranian and he is so much fun.

When I first saw the Dog Days 2 dies I immediately though of using the Scottie dog and plaid pattern paper.

I used the inlaid die cutting technique for this card.  I die cut the dog from the panel and then inserted the plaid die cut in its place.  I die cut the tie next and inserted the black die cut tie in its place and covered it with glossy accents.  Here is a closer look.

I hope you were inspired, thanks for stopping by!

Top Dog Dies July 21

Hello!  I am back today with a sweet baby card to share with you.  I don't know about you but where I live it seems like everyone is expecting a baby.

How perfect is this onesie shaped card for a shower or a welcome baby card!?  I folded my A2 card base and die cut it just above the fold of my card to create the shaped card and then I die cut the onesie again and adorned it with ruffles, collar and a cute stamped and colored image.  Here is a closer look.

I hope you enjoyed my card today and I have inspired you to make some onesie cards of your own.

Top Dog Dies Tutorial

Hi, I have a fun shaker drink tutorial to share with you today.

I started by scoring my card base every 1/4 inch for about 3/4 of the card.  This just adds a little interest to the card base.

Next we are going to cut the fun drink from the Party Drinks die set out of the top layer of our card.

After we have that cut put aside the actual drink cut because we will need that later.  Next die cut the drink again from a rectangle of fun foam just smaller than your top layer.

Next we are going to adhere the foam rectangle to the card base and fill it with sequins (I like to line up the top layer and the foam layer and then adhere the foam to the card base just so everything will be centered later).

We are almost done just a couple more steps;)  Adhere a piece of acetate over the foam and then the top layer making sure to line up the opening of the drink.

Remember how I told you to set the actual drink die cut off to the side?  Now we are going to adhere the die cut in the opening.

Pretty cool!  You can embellish your drink as you choose, I added some glossy accents to make it really look like a glass and a lime wedge to mine.  Here's a closer look.

Thanks so much for joining me today!  I hope you enjoyed the card and I encouraged you to make your shaker!

Top Dog Dies July 14

Hello!  I am back today sharing a super fun and summery card.  I just adore flamingoes, don't you.

This super fun flamingo die set was released last month and it is a must have.  I love all the dot detail and the wing and beak are separate dies so you can add dimension when assembling it like I did.  I also added a touch of shimmer.

I hope you enjoyed my card and got inspired!

Happy Friday!!  I am back with another CAS-ual Fridays Challenge!!  This month its all about embossing.

For my card I used the Ka-Boom stamp set and I used two types of embossing in this card.  That fun bomb is heat embossed and the diagonal stripe is embossed using an embossing folder.  It was so much fun to make this card!  Make sure you hop over to the CAS-ual Fridays blog and play along!
