September 2010 Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!

HEllo! This month the challenge was your "favorite learned skill". Heather Nichols did a post in August titled "Letterpress + Papertrey" Here is the link: http://pinefeather.typepad.com/pine_is_here/2010/08/letterpress-papertrey.html. I loved the idea of using the impression plates with ink! That is the technique or skill that I used in my card today. I used the linen and canvas impression plate for mine. As you can see I got some of the ink down below the grooves on the plate in some areas and I love the end result, so rustic looking!! My grandmother loves cows and it happens to be her Birthday in a couple of weeks so this card is going to her. The cow die cut came from a new toy I got this week, The cricut Imagine. I love my new toy!! Thanks for hopping by and have a great day!!

Great background! I wouldn't have thought to use the linen plane with this technique, but it's a great idea.
